Teko grew up in a middle-income household where Christmas shopping became less of an occurrence as the years went by. By the time she reached varsity, she could not afford to buy new clothes and the ones she had were worn and torn.

Following fashion trends across the globe, Teko decided to buy a sewing machine to rebuild her closet and (little did she know) her confidence. With absolutely no prior sewing or fashion experience and only the help of YouTube tutorials and her own clothes, Teko and those around her quickly caught wind of this natural talent that she was constantly working on. Over 6 years later and with that same sewing machine, Teko has produced numerous garments worn in South Africa and Paris. She believes that everyone should feel stylish, comfortable and confident in the clothing they put on everyday and it is for this reason that she wants to share her pieces with those who resonate with the brand it’s pieces.

KayTeko delivers sustainable, exclusive and timeless pieces to people of all shapes, sizes and body types but her primary focus is women’s wear. Each piece is designed and sewn by Teko with the utmost care and craftmanship where she maintains an open line of communication with her clients during the production process to ensure the final product is a perfect fit.
